Role Objective
To generate industrial retrofit business by identifying breakdown opportunities, promoting modernization solutions, and converting technical enquiries into high-margin engineered solutions.
This role requires technical understanding, strong field presence, and disciplined follow-up.
Key Responsibilities 1. Field Marketing & Business DevelopmentConduct 15–20 industrial visits per week
Develop database of maintenance heads and plant managers
Identify breakdown-prone machines and outdated systems
Promote gearbox upgrades, VFD retrofits, and automation improvements
Understand application details (RPM, torque, load type, duty cycle)
Recommend retrofit solutions instead of only product supply
Promote bundled solutions (Gearbox + VFD + Motor upgrades)
Avoid low-margin commodity price competition
Maintain minimum 5 follow-ups per enquiry
Submit daily activity and follow-up reports
Track leads until closure
Coordinate with management for technical discussions
Focus on high-margin products (Gearbox, VFD, Retrofit solutions)
Protect approved margin levels
Avoid unnecessary credit-based business
Support growth in nearby industrial clusters
Minimum 30 plant visits per week
Minimum 5 new prospects added monthly
Consistent follow-up discipline
Retrofit business
Structured reporting and accountability
Basic knowledge of motors, gearboxes, and VFD applications
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Field-oriented and result-driven mindset
Ability to build long-term industrial relationships
Technical curiosity and problem-solving approach
